Why "Keystone"

A keystone is the single stone that holds an arch together; remove it and everything else falls. That's how we treat organic search — as the load-bearing piece of a marketing system, not a side project. We were tired of watching good companies pour money into tactics that looked busy but moved nothing, so we built an agency around a simpler promise: do the few things that carry weight, and prove they worked.

Who runs it

Keystone Search was founded by Sophia Renner, who spent nine years leading SEO and content teams in-house at SaaS and retail companies before going independent. She started the agency after one too many "growth strategies" that ignored the unglamorous fundamentals. Around her is a compact team of technical specialists, writers and an outreach lead — everyone senior, no junior staff billed at senior rates.

How we work

Three principles keep us honest:

• Fundamentals before tricks. A fast, well-structured site with content people finish beats any clever loophole. We fix the boring things first, because they're what compound.
• Plain reporting. You see the rankings, the traffic, the work we did and what it's worth in revenue terms. If a number went the wrong way, we say so and explain why.
• We say no. If search isn't your highest-leverage channel right now, we'll tell you — even when it means a smaller engagement or no engagement at all. A good fit beats a quick close.

We take on a limited number of clients so each one gets real attention. When we're full, we say so rather than stretch thin.
